Woolmer killed by betting Syndicate?

While the issue is still under investigation and any conclusions will lack a lot of credibility, a latest report in the leading Australian News Paper 'The Australian' has brought a startling dimension to the story and this point of view can not be entirely untrue considering the influence of 'bookies' on the international cricket.

Investigators have made indirect claims last night that Pakistani coach was about to reveal the shady secrets of how match fixing might have played a role in Pakistan's shock defeat in the hands of Ireland particulay when Pakistan was deemed favorite with heavy odds on their side.

Former Pakistan fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz has suggested last night that Woolmer may have been murdered by a betting syndicate.

"Has Woolmer carried with him to the grave dark secrets that could have brought ruin upon Pakistan's players?" Sarfraz Nawaz was quoted by The Australian. "Did he pay for being the unwitting receptacle of information that was never to be shared?"

Sarfraz Nawaz claimed that at least five bookies from Pakistan had landed in the West Indies when the World Cup began and had been in touch with Pakistani players.

While we await for the more to come, according to many sources in World Cricket, if anyone, bookies could be behind Woolmer's murder and ICC will try it's level best to hide the issue as long as possible due to it's adverse impact on World Cup, where some South African players have even suggested to cancel the World Cup if the bookies are invloved in the murder.
